Midday Musings! 26th December - Farewell to The Project Bag

Dear Fibre Friends, Sometimes, they say, a change is as good as a rest. In my experience, a rest is the only thing as good as a rest. As soon as I give myself permission to take time off, I find myself re-energised, refreshed, and raring to go. This will be my last post on this platform. On New Year's Eve I'll be closing this web-page for good and in January I will be launching the dedicated Midnight Dyery Website. There will be more designs, a fresh new look, brand new yarns and accessories, and much much more! I want to thank everyone who has been part of The Project Bag. You've made this journey and transition possible. I hope you'll join me on my new adventures. For now though, I just want to say that there is a massive clearance sale on - be sure to check it out. Baking with The Project Bag: Banana and Honey Loaf

Hey there! It's a strange old world out there at the moment isn't it?  I've been furloughed from my day job and on day one am already feeling twitchy.  But I reckon I can find enough to keep me busy. One thing that's really at the forefront of my mind at the moment is the need to reduce waste.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not careless usually, but perhaps I don't plan enough and there ends up being waste.   A couple of weekends ago I was eyeing up some blackened bananas and decided to rifle through my cupboards to see if I could whip something up.  I adapted a recipe from an old cook book and came up with honey and banana loaf.   I love bananas, but I am super picky - one single brown spot and I won't eat them.  It's something to do with how the starch breaks down I think. Hello! How are we all?  I'm writing at the end of yet another incredibly busy week - the podcast is in the process of being edited, new products are being photographed and listed, and I'm getting e-mails from wonderful people who want to book onto the first knitting courses in Kent that start in a month's time. Life is incredibly busy right now, which is fabulous and exhausting and brilliant, and scary all at the same time!  So as everything to do with The Project Bag is kicking off properly, I thought I'd take some time to just chat with you about what exactly The Project Bag is, my vision for its future, and what you guys can expect from me and it.
